Lionel Fuchs represents the third generation at the head of New Embert, a Brussels haute fur house founded in 1954, and co-manages Fuchs Lejeune Agency, a women's fashion agency active for over thirty years. His entrepreneurial path has taken him well beyond Brussels: commercial director Benelux, France and CIS for Roberto Naldi (Italian textile brand) from 2014 to 2017, he led distribution launches as far as Kazakhstan and managed three very different markets, spanning Asia, Russia and Europe.

This dual role — craft production on one side, international commercial distribution on the other — has given him a fine understanding of what really happens when two businesses come into conflict: financial stakes, of course, but also human relationships, reputation, time pressure, and wavering cash flow. As commercial court judge at the Hainaut Business Court (Charleroi), he sits alongside professional magistrates to rule on commercial disputes. As judicial expert and ABEX expert specialising in textiles, leather, fur and fabrics (Code 1251), he also intervenes as a technical consultant.

His commitment to Mediation4U extends a conviction rooted in field experience: the amicable path is not a second-choice alternative, it is often the best strategic decision. His experience in the family business also nurtures a particular attention to succession and inheritance matters, where patrimonial stakes meet emotional bonds. An Officer of the Order of Social Merit of Belgium since 2022, he is also Secretary General of the Order of Saint-Gabriel (Charitable Association of Diplomats and Consuls, Benelux).

A lawyer at the Brussels Bar since 1997 and member of the Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten, Xavier van den Bossche is one of the rare mediators of the non-profit to combine civil and commercial certification with family mediation certification. His academic background combines an LLM in Notarial Law (KUB, 1997) and an LLM in Company Law (KUB, 2002), giving him a valuable dual reading in mediation: the rigour of contract and sensitivity to family and patrimonial dynamics.

Established at Rawlings Giles Law Firm (Boulevard de Waterloo 34, 1000 Brussels), he focuses his practice on litigation, contract law and commercial law. His FR/NL bilingual position, valuable in a Brussels where business often plays out between the two linguistic communities, makes him a mediator particularly suited to cross-community cases. This dual civil/commercial and family competence allows him to intervene in both business disputes and complex family situations — divorces, child custody, inheritance — where his legal rigour combines with attention to human dimensions.
